Welcome to the BEXHILL DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
Welcome to the BEXHILL DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
The Diabetes Support Group (DSG) Bexhill was formed in October 2011 to help the many Diabetes Patients in the Bexhill area. It is an Indepentent Group and relies on fund raising, gifts and donations.
Our Mission Statement: The aim of this friendly Diabetes Group is to provide useful knowledge as well as good ideas to help our members to manage their condition better with advice from interesting professional speakers at our regular monthly meetings.
We are run by a properly constituted Committe and Chairman (Michael Gebbie). Our 35+ members have enjoyed a range of lively guest speakers at our regular monthly meetings - which are held on the 2nd. Wednesday of the month starting at 2pm (July and August see our Summer Programme on page 2). Our meetings are held in the comfortable Bagnall Hall, the entrance is between the Bexhill Caring Community Shop, 25 Sackville Road, Bexhill and the Curves Fitness Studio.
The Committee try to theme each meeting with the speaker giving a talk leading on to a discussion on aspects of improving your diabetes life style. There will be time for refreshments, chat and for you to raise issues you would like discussed. We try to cover all the popular subjects and also look out for topics our members would like to know more about.
Membership is on application. We make a small admin fee of £5.00p. per year. We also send out three news letters a year.
Why not come along to a meeting and bring a friend/carer and see if you would benefit - (your first visit is free).
